Memphis Trip

A few weeks ago, we took a mini-vacation to Memphis, Tennessee. James came with us, and Amelie stayed with Nana Jana.

We got to the hotel just a few minutes before check-in and had to wait for the room, so they upgraded us to a suite! Sweet! It was really nice and quite spacious.

We walked down to the see the Mississippi River.

I carried James in the Ergo all around town, some in front (like this) and some on back. It got a lot of attention. We ate very well on the trip, but exercised a lot, too.

Sam and James at the Rock and Soul Museum, which was right by our hotel.

One of the signs from the Sanitation Workers Strike was on display.

We ate at a restaurant that was probably too fancy to bring a baby to, but there was outdoor seating, so it was all good.

We took a carriage ride, and saw the fireworks from the stadium.

James and Sam enjoying the hotel amenities.

Brunch!

Cheerio!

Taking the monorail to the Mississippi River Transport Museum, which was cooler than it sounds.

James enjoyed riding on the trolley.

We got to go to the Redbirds game to see the Cardinals' minor league team play. We had good, cheap seats.

Grandma Doris asked if we walked down Beale Street. I thought it was a little rough and loud for a baby, but we did take a picture on our way home from the game.

We also went to the Civil Rights Museum at the Lorraine Motel, which I would highly recommend.

    1. We were in a museum with no flash photography, so it's a little blurry, but I like it too :)
