Nature Walk

We went on an Earth Day nature walk at church. Amelie took notes about all of the things we saw.

Here's a closer look:
The W's are for walnuts and the T is for the turtle. I think the P is for poison ivy & the H is for a hole we saw. I'm not sure about the others.

We identified poison ivy & then stayed far away:

There was a turtle!

They are looking at a spider I caught in the big petri dish:

James enjoyed the doughnuts:

Shaving Cream

The kids played with shaving cream (an idea I took from my friend Amanda).

It was super fun.

Bath Colors

I got the kids bath colors, and they love them. The best is when we start the bath one color and then add another partway through.

Girl Scouts

Amelie joined Girl Scouts! She's a Daisy. There are 5 girls from her school in the troop.

She was pointing out her Daisy pin and troop number.

The pockets are also pretty nifty.

Baby Owen

Baby Owen and Mom (and Dad, not pictured) came over and entertained the kidlets - seriously. I would maintain that they're younger and have more energy, but you notice that Maggie's also holding an infant. Amelie looks excited about the baby, and she's also holding our ice pack, which had to come out not once but twice due to roughhousing bonks.

Easter 2016

Easter came around and we took pictures in the morning before it started to rain.

We did our annual Easter egg hunt with the Buffaloes (inside, because it was rainy and muddy again this year).

Amelie is excited about her loot.

Comparing with Ellie.

Group picture!

Nobody wanted to sit still for the photo:

Kid Photography, James Version

The best kind of kid photography is the kind where you go to upload photos to the computer and discover a set taken completely unbeknownst to you :)

What I love about these is that clearly the first ones were taken by James (I know by his arm and feet!), but he must have roped Amelie in to take pictures of him at the end! Ha!

I narrowed it down to 10. You're welcome.

Hmm, what's this? The camera? What does this button do?

The back of the chair:

The ever-popular lamp:

Living room, take 1:

Hmm, perhaps it will improve the composition of the photo if I stick my foot in the frame:

More feet!

Miscellany on the deck:

Fun and games:

Amelie's turn to take one!
