Goatsbeard Farm

Amelie's school took a field trip to Goatsbeard Farm on May 1st. James and I got to come, too, and we only got a tiny bit lost on the drive back to Columbia.

We saw the goats being milked, and six-week-old baby goats and bees and chickens. We also got to taste the fresh goat cheese and have a picnic. All in all, a good time was had.

This guy was particularly interested in the picnic portion of the program -- getting close enough to chew on Cece's ponytail.

Amelie enjoyed playing in the hay as much as anything else we did. She and James got prompt baths when we got back home.

I think Amelie took a cue from the goats about fence-climbing.

This one is my favorite. Robine looks so surprised in the background.
