Snow

We got more snow (and very cold temperatures), but this winter has been very light on snow.

In January, there was only barely enough to start with, but the kids managed to build a snowman and go sledding twice while it lasted. These pics are all from January 3rd, I believe - I can do another snow post later with the others, maybe.

Here's Sam (he does have at least 3 pairs of matching adult black gloves, despite the unmatched kids gloves that he's wearing in the photo):

Continuing the trend of unmatched gloves is Leah. You can tell it wasn't nearly as cold then as it is now:

In a similar vein, right before the pandemic Sam did a great sock cleansing and threw out all the kids' socks that didn't have mates - when we haven't gone anywhere in practically a whole year and they could have been wearing mismatched socks this whole time 😂

And James appears to have lost his other glove entirely, though I'm positive he started out with two.

Icicles at the neighborhood park:

And here's some of Sam's nature photography - also at the neighborhood park:

Grindstone nature area:
My MDC friend tells me the plant above is an invasive Teasel, unfortunately - it is very pretty now with the snow and also in the spring/summer when the bloom is purple.
