STL Zoo Lights

We went back to see the Wild Lights at the St. Louis Zoo as a Christmas Break activity. Of course we stopped at Stefanina's on the way.

Let me tell you, it is difficult getting a picture where all of the kids look relatively normal.

We listened to some elves tell stories & Leah volunteered to be in one about a cheetah (she was a hopping antelope who probably got eaten at the end - right up her alley.)

Carousel rides:

We got a smores package and roasted our marshmallows over a fire pit. James wanted hot chocolate too, of course.

Despite not particularly wanting to cooperate for photos, they wanted us to take pictures in every single one of these that we saw, in every possible combination.

Leah & James

Amelie & Leah

Amelie & James. We told Amelie to poke her face through more & she demonstrated that her glasses wouldn't let her.

We saw a sleeping polar bear & went through the penguin house. They didn't have the sea lion cove open this year, but we did see one (kind of! it was dark) observing the people and lights from a rock.

James saw a penguin poop, which was the highlight of the trip.

Leah wore an elf hat & I wore the light-up headband, but no one else could be convinced to don festive headwear.

Sam made the good call to see the 4-D movie first thing. It was polar express this year.

I will reiterate that they couldn't be convinced to take a good photo.
