Another Halloween is in the books. I wasn't sure if the big kids would go around again & Amelie almost didn't but they all three ended up trick-or-treating. Off they go! I said the neighbors might be more sympathetic to teenagers if they took the orange pumpkin buckets instead of the pillowcases they wanted to grab:
Uncle Joe came over and walked around some with Sam & Leah & then helped me pass out candy & manage the dog.
Amelie started as the Corpse Bride, but was dissatisfied with her costume & changed at the very last minute to a witch (but she kept the veil/headdress.)
Leah went as Pinkie Pie from My Little Ponies (Specifically the alternate dimension humanoid Pinkie Pie)
They walked through the park to meet up with her friend & Sam snapped this photo! The big kids were still working on their costumes when they left!
Wheeling and dealing:
Jim brought home a cup-o-noodles and also an instant ramen packet (no potatoes or cans of soda this year, though).
Some of us dressed up at work on Friday, but we didn't get a big group picture, unfortunately! I was a disco ball. One of my coworkers guessed 1) a brick wall, and then 2) a table (he had a tiled table that looked like that I guess! Hahaha!)
Leah came out of her bedroom after bedtime complaining about being itchy all over, so we gave her some Benadryl. She must have accidentally had something with red dye. (Which I keep hoping she will grow out of!)
We didn't carve pumpkins until the morning of Halloween - from left to right: Leah (abstract, she titled it "psychological horror"), Mom, Amelie (vampy), Jim (plus color changing light), Sam.
Here's the link to last year!
