James's new favorite thing is climbing on the couch. He desperately wants to climb on the end table, and throws an honest-to-goodness fit on the floor when we don't let him. I am not a fan. I am also kind of surprised at all of the climbing (he even pushes the kid-sized chair from Grandma Pat around the house in order to reach other things!) before he's walking well.
Amelie, just dancing around to Pandora. I got out the ball pit the other night to hopefully occupy James and get his mind off the verboten end table, and Amelie ended up playing with it the rest of the night.
In an attempt to restrain myself from blabbing on and on about the rugrats, I've started a blog to upload photos and videos and the occasional story for your internet browsing pleasure.

Coffee
Hey, what's this?
Something I can't have, hm?
Are you sure about that?
James loves to drink out of my glass. He really can't have the (by this point lukewarm) coffee, though.

At the Park
We actually went to the park today, since it was 60 degrees and tomorrow there might be snow. But these pictures are from the last time I thought, "We'd better go today, because soon it will be too cold.
It only looks like James is rapidly crawling away so that Amelie won't jump on him.
He was in a super-smiley mood.
Ha!
Amelie was a little more reluctant to have her photo made.
Walking along the stone wall.
Happybaby! toddler!
Climbing.
More climbing.
Sliding.
Their love of playing in the mulch is not something I fully understand.

Why are the paparazzi always following me?

Ordinary Day
Amelie likes to wash things in the sink. She looks somewhat suspicious of me taking the photograph, though.
She stands on top of an old plant stand to reach.
Detail cleaning!
James likes to sit in the toy bin.
He can get into it himself.
He can only get out of it by himself if there's a pretty thick layer of toys at the bottom, though.

School Picture
Amelie had school pictures made (before the haircut!)
Here's the one from last year, for comparison:
The class picture is pretty much hilariously awful.

Allergic
In the wee hours of the morning, James had an allergic reaction to cashews. It was pretty alarming, but the face swelling cleared up with just Benadryl. Thankfully, he was a good sport about the ER visit and observation. He did want to take the monitor off his toe.
The picture quality on my phone is dismal, but I couldn't resist the urge to take a photo. He's feeling much better.

Marshmallow Monster
The kids made shapes with foam balls, toothpicks, and marshmallows in Sunday School yesterday. Amelie made a monster. She ate its eyes after lunch.

Drawing
I took two short videos of James on the deck, and I'm afraid my SD card ate the one that showed him really drawing with the chalk, but I'll go ahead and post the other one.
James likes to draw on the deck with chalk and to make marks on paper with crayon. After a bit, he tries to put the crayon in his mouth, though.
And here's a still picture:

New Haircut Photo Shoot
Now it's going to be very obvious how behind I was on uploading pictures to the blog, since there were several posts before this (and will be some after it, too, I'm sure) where Amelie still has hair (sniff). I took these the day after the haircut. She likes it. She says, "I look different!"
