Reading is a pretty fun pastime in the Buffaloe household lately - maybe even on par with dancing.
Amelie calls the counting book "Do-do." We usually go through it once saying the numbers and then once (or more) saying the animal sounds. There's one rooster, and he says "Cock-a-doodle-do!" or, in Amelie's jabbering, "Do-do!"
In an attempt to restrain myself from blabbing on and on about the rugrats, I've started a blog to upload photos and videos and the occasional story for your internet browsing pleasure.

Car Cart
Amelie loves the car cart at Schnuck's.
And I'm just annoying enough to take pictures of her in it in the middle of the store.
Imagine that she leaned out of the car to say "Heeeey, Girl!"

No!
Amelie's been saying "No" quite a bit. Sometimes, when she's playing by herself, she'll even say "No, no, no" in a sing-song voice to her baby dolls.
She also says "No!" when she means "Snow!" Almost all of the snow has melted, but she'll still stop and point at the one patch of "No!" in the yard.

Playing Catch-Up
Here are (finally!) the last of the pictures from the Buffaloes last trip out to Missouri. I just barely got them in before they'll be here again next week.
Aunt Barb & Cousin Ellie
Now, when Amelie sees an old man, she shouts out "Pa! Pa!" She misses her grandpa!
This was the only picture I managed to get of Grandma Mary Beth. She's nearly as good at dodging pictures as I am.
We even had to coax her into this shot -- the babies and Grandpa look like they're having a grand time.
Honestly, this is the best one I got. Amelie only looks a little bit frightened, but that's just par for the course when it comes to group photos. Like this one, this one, or this one.

Playing House
This is a picture of Amelie and her buddy Ezra at the superbowl party we went to last weekend. She plays with him about once a week when I teach my night class before Sam gets home.

Belated Buffaloe Post
The Buffaloes came to Columbia over New Year's to celebrate Christmas with their red-headed grandbabies.
We opened lots of presents.
But the "Boons" from Uncle Joe were probably the most exciting.
Grandpa helped blow them up.
There was a fair amount of climing and general oneriness:
The grownups had fun, too.
Uncle Joe was highly entertaining.
Clearly, these two didn't get any presents for Christmas. They were forced to make due with a dog collar, and ink pen, and a glasses case.
