This is Schroeder:
He's a 3 and a half year old German Shorthaired Pointer / Collie mix (we think). He mostly ignored Amelie at first, but his interest picked up quickly when she began throwing food on the floor. Loyalty was won when she started offering him things like peanut butter, cheese, and crackers on purpose.
Here it looks like she's offering him a baby spoon. So that's where that went!
In an attempt to restrain myself from blabbing on and on about the rugrats, I've started a blog to upload photos and videos and the occasional story for your internet browsing pleasure.

Signing "Done"
Amelie's been signing "done" (actually, I think in ASL this is "finished") for a while, but I only recently got the idea to make a video. It's been a long time since I posted a video update! In any case, signing/saying "done" has made the end of mealtimes much nicer, as you can tell by the mini-fit she throws when she thinks I'm not going to take her out of the high chair in the middle:

Thank you, Aunt Lana!
Aunt Lana and Uncle Darrin came to Columbia to see the Mizzou game and stopped in to tickle the baby afterwards.
What? Babies love me!
And then, Aunt Lana emailed the pictures from Japanese Hibachi, too! Amelie may or my not have eaten some seaweed.
And when Aunt Holly got distracted with her phone, Amelie took the chopsticks into her own hands.
More from Cousin Darri's camera:

Party Time
Holly's boss graciously invited us to his two-year-old son's birthday party on Sunday afternoon. After milk and cake, Amelie ran around Going Bonkers much as the name would imply, pushing all of the buttons on the arcade games and being generally silly.

Fashionista
Grandma Mary Beth got Amelie some fun fall clothes. Here's Amelie showing off her wardrobe. These first two pictures show Amelie in a jacket and pants that Mary Beth brought the last time she came to Columbia. (Though she might not have intended on us pairing them together.)
Maybe this top was meant to go with the pants she wore earlier?
Anyway, the ponytail really sets it off.
Have I mentioned that we have a climber? Maybe she's posing.
Getting ready for a walk around the neighborhood.
Too cool to sit straight in the stroller.
Pushing open the door to go outside.
Outside!
Okay, let's go back in.
Look at those curls!

Looking Out the Window
Amelie (and actually Schroeder does this, too) has a habit of peeking out the front window. She doesn't let any pesky shades get in the way.
She's quite a bit taller than the last time I posted a picture like this.

Weekend Visit
Last weekend, Nana Jana and Cousin Darri came up to Columbia to visit Amelie.
Cousin Darri spent a lot of time taking photos.
We even got one of her on the other side of the camera.
It was a little chilly, but we played some at the park.
And we all went out to Japanese Hibachi. (There's a cute picture of Amelie trying to use chopsticks that I'll put up as soon as I get a copy!)
The baby's the only one who didn't get the joke in this picture.

Catching some Zzzzz
Amelie fell asleep on the way to Aunt Holly's ... and stayed asleep for another hour! Thanks for watching her while I ran to the store, sister!
