So my friend Cabell put up some pictures of us from her Missouri wedding reception, and I thought it would be better to have all of them together, so I created a new post.
Here we are, all ready to go at Nana Jana's house.
Here we all are again, this time at the Rose Bed Inn, enjoying the festivities. Amelie had quite a time at the reception in her ring sling. (Thanks, Amanda!) She enjoyed bouncing around to the band, which you can see behind us.
Oh, and here's a closer picture showing off the pirate pacifier that Cabell and Don brought back for her from Las Vegas -- she was born on the day they got married!
In an attempt to restrain myself from blabbing on and on about the rugrats, I've started a blog to upload photos and videos and the occasional story for your internet browsing pleasure.

Rolling Over
Amelie has been rolling over from front to back for ages now, and she started the more difficult business of rolling back to front a little more recently. Woe of woes, I’ve never been able to catch any of said rolling on camera. Mostly, she’d do the rolling in the minute when I’d stepped out of the room, or would wait patiently until the camera battery ran out before she’d comply.
Right before this video starts rolling, Amelie neatly rolled from her back where I’d laid her to her front. That’s when I picked up the camera and started shooting. After a bit, I flop her back over to see if she’ll do it again.

Professional Pictures
These pictures are being posted a little late, just because I didn't want to ruin the surprise for Amelie's grandparents and great-grandparents when they got the photos in the mail. If anyone would like a specific picture, just let me know and I'll make a copy in whatever size you'd like. (We purchased the copyright to the photos and so can re-post them here without worrying about legal stuff, and we can make inexpensive copies easily.)
The photographers at JC Penny's kept trying to sell us photoshopped options, some of which were pretty funny. Sam likes this one:
And, if you wanted to go back and take a look, here are the newborn photos.

The Many Faces of Amelie
We woke up the other morning and it was a cool 58 degrees. I originally intended on taking a picture of Amelie the first time she's had to wear long sleeves and long pants (well, okay, leggings), and it turned into a photo shoot.

Johnny Jump Up
It's Grandma Mary Beth's super lucky day! (That, and instead of having a busy week where I had to plan for the class I'm currently teaching, grade a set of papers, and write a syllabus for my class next session, Sam and I both have a three-day weekend.)
So, in honor of aforementioned three-day weekend, a second video post of the day.
Right before Nana Jana left, I wondered, "Do you think Amelie could use the Johnny Jump Up now? She's three months ..." And since it doesn't hurt to try it out, we stuck it up in the doorway just to see what she thought. A success! Though we'll probably use it more when she's just a little bigger, here's take one of Amelie in the jump-up.
